Sheppard Line Overview

Line 4 Sheppard of the Toronto rapid transit system is the shortest line of the network. It has the particularity to be entirely built under Sheppard Avenue. All its stations host interesting public art pieces. Sheppard Line is used by an average of 50,000 passengers daily. It has a length of 3.5 miles and serves 5 stations. No other London Underground line serves more stations than the District Line. It is the Purple Line on the Subway map.

Tourist attractions on the Sheppard Line

There is no major tourist attractions located on Line 4 Sheppard.

Sheppard Line Stations

  • Sheppard-Yonge station is located, as its name indicates, on Sheppard Avenue and Yonge Street. It is the western terminus of the Sheppard Line. Wheelchair accessible.
  • Bayview station stands at the corner of Sheppard Avenue and Bayview Avenue. Wheelchair accessible.
  • Bessarion station is located on Bessarion Road, at the corner with Sheppard Avenue. Wheelchair accessible.
  • Leslie station stands, as its name indicates, close to Leslie Street, on the Old Leslie Street. Wheelchair accessible.
  • Don Mills station is located at the corner of Don Mill Road and Sheppard Avenue. It is the eastern terminus of Line 4 Sheppard. Wheelchair accessible.

Sheppard Line Schedule

Line 4 Sheppard runs every day of the week including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The first subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge station at 5:42 am from Monday to Friday, at 5:58 am on Saturdays and at 7:54 am on Sundays, and Don Mills station at 5:31 am from Monday to Friday, at 5:47 am on Saturdays and at 8:05 am on Sundays.

The last subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge station at 2:14 am from Monday to Sunday, and Don Mills station at 2:25 am from Monday to Sunday.
