Scarborough RT Line Overview

Scarborough RT Line of the Toronto Rapid Transit is connected to Bloor Danforth Line. It works as an extension of Line 2 and serves the northeastern part of Toronto. The line is used by around 40,000 passengers every day. It has a length of 4 miles and serves 6 stations. It is the Blue Line on the subway map.



Tourist attractions on the Scarborough RT Line

  • Scarborough City Centre, one of the most important business centres in Toronto, is located at walking distance from Scarborough Centre subway station.


Scarborough RT Line Stations

  • Kennedy station is located close to Kennedy Road, on Eglinton Avenue East. It is the southern terminus station of Line 3 Scarborough RT. Wheelchair accessible.
  • Lawrence East station stands on Lawrence Avenue East, which gives it its name.
  • Ellesmere station is located on Ellesmere Road, as its name indicates. It the least-used station of the entire subway network.
  • Midland station is located on Midland Avenue.
  • Scarborough Centre is located close to Scarborough City Centre, which gives it its name. Wheelchair accessible.
  • McCowan station stands, as its name indicates, on McCowan Road. It is the eastern terminus of Scarborough RT line.



The Scarborough RT Line serves different important transportation sites

  • Kennedy commuter rail station is connected to Kennedy subway station. It is served by the Stouffville line of Go Transit. You can take there a train to the northern suburbs of Toronto, to Markham in particular.
  • Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal is connected to Scarborough Centre station. You can take there a bus to Ottawa, Kingston or Montreal.

Scarborough RT Line Schedule

Line 3 Scarborough RT runs every day of the week including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The first subway leaves Kennedy station at 6:00 am from Monday to Friday, at 6:02 am on Saturdays and at 8:11 am on Sundays, and McCowan station at 5:45 am from Monday to Friday, at 5:49 am on Saturdays and at 7:57 am on Sundays.

The last subway leaves Kennedy station at 1:30 am from Monday to Sunday, and McCowan station at 1:16 am from Monday to Sunday.
